Renee founded Love 2 Learn in 2008 to help out just a few families in the area. However, Love 2 Learn grew into a multidisciplinary practice of ABA, Early Intervention, ST and OT to reach over 4000 families across numerous regions in Southern California in the last 15 years.
Under Renee’s leadership, Love 2 Learn has been recognized as Orange County Register’s Top Places to Work 5 times (2016, 2017, 2018 2020, 2021). We were honored to be a recipient of a Staff Satisfaction award from the BHCOE in 2018. Our culture has matured in the last decade to attract and maintain a team that believes in reliability, a commitment to excellence, high ethical standards and a warm relational experience for all.
Developing new programs and sharing what she has learned in Leadership and Applied Behavior Analysis is at the top of Renee’s favorite things to do.  She has presented at state and national conferences on various subjects, such as Verbal Behavior, Staff Training, Data Collection, and Community-Based Instruction just to name a few. 
When Renee isn’t working, she is making memories with her husband,  daughter and two fur sons.  Feeling connected to nature, music, creativity, dance and learning keeps Renee feeling her best.

Destini was an undergraduate at the University of Southern California where her fascination with behavior began when she took a Behavioral Neuroscience class and Interpersonal Relationships class and realized the basics were the same. Behavior analysis is everywhere.

She attended the University of the Pacific where she continued on her diverse path of behavior analysis by earning a Masters degree in Psychology with a breadth of experience including Behavioral Medicine, Psychopharmacology, and Biofeedback. She has worked within a variety of disciplines but shifted her focus to Applied Behavior Analysis with those with Intellectual Disabilities and/or Mental Health Disorders ranging from youth through adulthood in locations such as homes, schools, group homes, and state facilities.

Over the course of her experiences she found joy in the assurance of quality services and growth through the systematic review of processes, streamlining of procedures and training, and interdepartmental cooperation.

Team work makes the dream work and she’s excited to be a part of the Love 2 Learn family.

In her free time she enjoys traveling, fitness, spending time with her friends and family, brunching, and binge-watching good shows. Her personal passion is for everyone to see that behavior analysis is everywhere but it’s not everything and to remember to stay curious, clever, compassionate, and classy.

June has over 10 years of experience in the field of administration within various industries and has worked extensively in administration throughout her professional career. As Director of Administrative Services, she is responsible for encompassing developing infrastructure, analyzing current processes, and recommending and implementing procedural or policy changes to improve operations. She also provides input on recruiting and employee relations, information technology as well as managing our scheduling department and front office.

June believes that administration is the back-bone of the daily business operations. In carrying out her responsibility as Director of Administrative Services, her goal is to ensure that the entire administrative function is strategically aligned with all other business functions and supports the successful creation, launch, execution and sustainability of Love 2 Learn and all it has to offer. June values participation in community with memberships in professional groups such as Cal Chambers, PIHRA, Connect: Professional Women’s Network, Project Management Community and National Association of Professional Women.

Diego Keisman joined the Love 2 Learn team in November 2018 after a 16 year role at Quest Diagnostics as Lead Clinical Scientist in the Biochemical Genetics Department.

Diego earned a Bachelor’s Degree in chemistry with a minor in Biology from Chapman University. Prior to his entry to health care, Diego served in the United States Navy for 4 years 92-96, as a MM3. Lastly, Diego earned his certification to be a Clinical Genetic Molecular Biologist Scientist.

At Love 2 Learn Diego spends his time assuring that we are up to date in our compliance, technology, and leading our finance department.

Ana Salgado, M.A., BCBA

Ana received her BA in Women’s Studies and Public Policy with a concentration in Health and Population from the University of California, Riverside in 2012.

She attended Florida Institute of Technology where she completed her BCaBA requirements. She went on to receive her MA in Behavior Analysis with a concentration in Autism in 2016 from Ball State University.

Ana was introduced to the field of Behavior Analysis in 2012 when subbing as Special Education aide and quickly shifted her career aspirations to focus on Behavior Analysis. Since beginning her Behavior Analysis career, Ana has served as a special education classroom aide, behavior technician, behavior interventionist, parent consultant, and clinical supervisor to individuals of various ages. Ana is excited to become a mentor and create support systems for Love 2 Learn staff pursuing their BCBAs.

Ruben received his BA in Psychology from California State University Long Beach in 2007 He attended Alliant International University and received his MA in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2010. Ruben was introduced to the field of Behavior Analysis in 2011 at Love 2 Learn and has been enriching the lives of the families and professionals he serves.

Ruben completed his Behavior Analysis online coursework from University of North Texas and became a BCBA in 2016. Since beginning his Behavior Analysis career Ruben has served as a behavior interventionist, parent consultant, and clinical supervisor to individuals of various ages. In addition to supporting our families and staff in our North Region, Ruben runs the Lead Behavior Interventionist program at Love 2 Learn, providing mentorship and support for the continued growth of BI’s. When asked why he has stayed committed to Love 2 Learn as long as he has. Ruben shared, it’s the little things, the way Love 2 Learn shows they genuinely care. Ruben is one that chooses his words carefully and so when he talks all listen.

Danielle Hargrave, PhD, BCBA-

Dr. Danielle Hargrave, PhD, BCBA-D is heading up our Comprehensive ABA Clinic program in Huntington Beach. Danielle, is an experienced Behavior Analyst with a strong background in ABA, learning, and organizational growth.

She attended Florida Institute of Technology where she completed her BCaBA requirements. She went on to receive her MA in Behavior Analysis with a concentration in Autism in 2016 from Ball State University.

With over five years of experience in training program development, quality assurance, and performance improvement, she is dedicated to enhancing service quality and employee engagement. Dr. Hargrave specializes in designing and implementing effective training strategies, leveraging data analysis tools, and fostering collaborative learning environments.


In addition to her leadership in training and development, Dr. Hargrave serves as an Adjunct Faculty Instructor in Psychology, combining her expertise in behavior analysis with academic instruction. She holds a PhD in Applied Behavior Analysis from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, with research focusing on parent-implemented interventions to enhance social skills in children with ASD.


Her professional experience spans various roles, including behavioral health training, mentorship, and operational leadership, with a focus on continuous improvement. Dr. Hargrave is passionate about equipping professionals with the skills and knowledge to drive meaningful change in the field of ABA and behavioral health.

She pursued employment opportunities working with children during which she was exposed to the field of behavior analysis.

Meegan Sheppard, MA BCBA

Meegan graduated from Florida Institute of Technology while obtaining her BCBA certification in 2022 while practicing as a Registered Behavior Technician.

She also earned a Masters of Arts in Multi-Categorical Special Education from Saint Xavier University in Chicago in 2015.  Meegan has taught individuals in K-21 with a range of disabilities for over seven years.  Prior to that Meegan earned a Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Therapy in Chicago in 1999 where she spent 16 years practicing pediatric respiratory therapy.

Meegan comes to Love 2 Learn with experience in supervision within the home, school, and community.  She takes great pride in ensuring new technicians have adequate training to not only meet but exceed their responsibilities.  Meegan enjoys working with caregivers to achieve greater independence for their children. Most importantly, she advocates for clients to provide socially significant changes in their lives.

Meegan has always enjoyed working with kiddos and finds being a Behavior Analyst both rewarding and satisfying. She currently feels like she is exactly where she is supposed to be; working with this diverse population while using science based research to positively impact others. In Meegan’s free time, she enjoys spending time at the beach, hiking, reading, or with her teen daughter, her foster daughter, and her zoo of pets!

 

Simone Joshua, MS BCBA

Simone started in the field of ABA as an intern at a company near the University of California, Riverside, where she earned a BA in Psychology with a minor in Neuroscience. 

She worked as a Behavior Interventionist, Early Childhood Instructor, RBT, Parent Consultant, and Assistant Supervisor. Simone completed her MS in Applied Behavior Analysis in 2022 from National University. She passed the BCBA exam in April 2024 and is thrilled to have achieved this milestone after nine years in the field.

Nothing drives Simone more than seeing her clients make progress with skills they previously found challenging. Witnessing the daily effort lead to success—not just for the clients but also for their families and overall quality of life—keeps her passionate about this field. Simone provides compassionate care to all her clients and offers unwavering support to her teams. She also loves incorporating her acting skills into her work during sessions with children!

Melanie Ortega, MS, BCBA

Melanie is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst who received her BS in Psychology, with a minor in Chemistry in her home state at the University of New Mexico.

She was first introduced to the field of Behavior Analysis when she took a gorilla lab in 2014. She went on to pursue Optometry, but later reaffirmed her passion for Behavior Analysis when she began working at Love 2 Learn in January 2019. It was then that she realized she had a knack for play-based learning and immediately became a Registered Behavior Technician. Since then, she has been a parent consultant and a clinical supervisor. She graduated from Capella University with an MS in Psychology and a specialization in ABA. She looks forward to mentoring both parents and clients of all ages using evidence-based techniques.

Sharon Peach Mayer, CCC-SLP

Sharon is a skilled speech-language pathologist with decades of experience diagnosing and spearheading treatment strategy plans for communication impairments. She has experience working with a variety of communication disorders and age levels in school and clinic settings.

 

She specializes in early intervention for children birth to age 5. One of her greatest joys in life is interacting with children and helping them to achieve their highest communicative competency.

Sharon holds a Master of Arts in Communicative Disorders, a Bachelor of Arts in Communicative Disorders, and two service credentials in speech pathology and special education.

Magdalena specializes in training and skill in preventing, assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, cognitive communication, and swallowing disorders arising from illness, injury, deficiency, or congenital birth defect.

Magdalena performs testing, evaluation, and treatment of disorders relating to how patients form words, communicate, and process the speech of others. Significant diseases and conditions treated include speech disorders like stuttering and dysarthria, language disorders like articulation and phonological processing disorders, social communication disorders, cognitive-communication disorders, voice disorders, and swallowing disorders that may arise from conditions like stroke, dementia, brain injury, multiple sclerosis (MS), Parkinson’s disease, autism, hearing loss, or congenital birth defects. 

 

Isabella Nguyen

With a B.A. in Linguistics from UC San Diego and an M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology from San José State University, Isabella brings a wealth of expertise and a passion for empowering children and families. 

Her play-based and individualized approach ensures therapy sessions are engaging, effective, and tailored to each child’s unique strengths and needs. Isabella’s diverse experiences include providing therapy to children with autism, intellectual disabilities, and articulation challenges in school and clinical settings. Bilingual in English and Vietnamese, she is committed to culturally responsive care that builds trust and bridges communication gaps. Isabella combines compassion and precision to make a meaningful difference in the lives of her clients.

Lauren Mindling, MA, OTR/L

Lauren has enjoyed working with children since she was young. Her mother worked in a Special Day classroom, and in middle school and high school, Lauren would volunteer her extra hours in the classroom, helping the students and teacher build a fun, supportive environment. Lauren went to the University of California, Irvine in 2007 with a scholarship to play water polo and a love for human connection but unsure of a solidified career path. During her senior year, Lauren worked an internship at a program for adults with Traumatic Brain Injuries that supported the adults in different areas of life such as finances, technology, artistic expression, and social skills. Lauren fell in love with the adapted program and knew she wanted to pursue a career in rehabilitation. Lauren attended California State University, Dominguez Hills in 2013 to pursue a Master’s of Art in Occupational Therapy. 

After graduating from CSUDH in 2015, Lauren moved to San Luis Obispo and began her career in the Paso Robles Joint Unified School District, supporting students in special education. She and her partner moved back to Los Angeles, where Lauren began work at a pediatric sensory integration clinic. She supported children with neurodevelopmental challenges and gross delays. Lauren went to work for Downey Unified School District in 2018 in the special education department, where she has been ever since. Lauren has felt a strong purpose to help families and clients across their lifespan to feel fulfilled, and empowered, and to succeed in their daily activities. She continues to hold a special place in working with children and their families.
