Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapists use techniques to support children in developing a broad range of functional skills that promote independence. From the outside, therapy is designed to look like play. Developmentally appropriate toys and research-based techniques are carefully chosen and strategically utilized to promote higher skill development.

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants support Occupational Therapists in implementing programs both in our clinic and the home setting.  Oversight and supervision is provided to COTAs in accordance with best practices.

Early Intervention OTs and COTAs grow the capacity of Parents to meet the needs of their child in promoting growth and development in the natural environments where families live, work, and play.

More specifically, OTs & COTAs address all of the following domains across the lifespan.

  • Activities of Daily Living

  • Instrumental Activities of Daily Living

  • Rest and Sleep

  • Education

  • Work

  • Play

  • Leisure

  • Social Participation
