BEHAVIOR THERAPIST

Position

Behavior Therapists (BTs) teach language, communication, social skills, adaptive behavior, leisure skills, and so much more. Each learner has a program that is designed for them, their family and their environment. BTs work closely with Clinical Supervisors, Behavior Analysts, Speech Pathologists and Occupational Therapists to collaborate on the behavior of the learners and families they serve.

Compassion, playfulness and creativity are qualities that go into being a strong Behavior Therapist. Communicating with families, data collection, session summaries, are all part of the role.

 QUALIFICATIONS

  • Enjoy working and playing with individuals approximately aged 16 months – 16 years of age
  • No prior experience is needed
  • Full Immunization Record, which includes a recent TB Test
  • Valid California Driver’s License and Auto Insurance Background Qualifications
  • High school degree required. Bachelors preferred.

POSITION/ TYPE OF WORK

  • Part-time to Full time build up to 30+ hours
  • 20 hours minimum availability required
  • Monday through Friday
  • Typically 8:00 am to 6:00 pm

TRAVEL

This position consists of being in the home, clinic, school and community.
